Tales from our Rebels Uncaged Cross-Country Motorcycle Adventure

When you commission custom-built motorcycles from the country’s six best craftsmen, you have to show them off. That’s exactly what we did when we rode cross-country on the bikes that were built for our 2017 Rebels Uncaged contest.

Our escapades began July 31, with a kickoff party at Zola in Spokane, Washington, where the locals joined us to show off their own bikes. Together we enjoyed live music and Rebel Yell before hitting the road the next day. Our final destination on this tour: Sturgis, South Dakota, where we met up with fellow motorcycle and music enthusiasts at Buffalo Chip, aka The Best Party Anywhere. Of course we brought bourbon to share with our newfound friends.

Our travels took us through some of the most beautiful parts of the country — Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming, near Yellowstone — and the scenery changed every day. Although it was hard to compete with our surroundings, we did put on quite a spectacle, with our Rebel Yell truck and six killer bikes — built by Analog Motorcycles, Revival Cycles, Flying Tiger Motorcycles, Classified Moto, Gasser Customs, and Hageman Cycles — driving down the open road. We documented the whole thing on Facebook and Instagram.

All told we rode about 1,100 miles over five days. But don’t worry: We still had time to kick back and relax at night, playing games around fire pits, noshing on pork sandwiches featuring a barbecue sauce made with Rebel Yell Root Beer, and celebrating each day’s great ride with some Rebel Yell.

We arrived at Buffalo Chip on August 6, and believe us when we tell you none of those folks had bikes that stood out like ours. As you know, we like to do things differently.

We set up Camp Rebel Yell — seven trailers and some inflatable couches — on the grounds, which served as our home base at Buffalo Chip. While there, we sang karaoke, watched the Doobie Brothers, and passed out tons of Rebel Yell. But the highlight for us was rolling the Rebels Uncaged motorcycles onstage for all to see.

Speaking of, there is still time to enter for your chance to win one of the six custom-built bikes. So do it already, at RebelsUncaged.com. Then check out these pictures from our adventures.
