Our summer mantra goes something like this: Mix. Drink. Repeat. Maybe your idea of “mixing” is bourbon with water or ice. But we recommend something that speaks to the spirit of the season. These four whiskey drinks do just that.
Rebel Yell KSBW TAP
Yields 1
1.5 ounces Rebel Yell Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
6 ounces chilled strong brewed tea
Lemon wedge
Pour bourbon into a pint glass filled with ice. Add tea. Garnish with a lemon wedge.
Peach Freeze
Yields 4
6 ounces Rebel Yell Straight Rye Whiskey
6 ounces sparkling mineral water
6 ounces frozen limeade concentrate
16 ounces fresh peach slices
Add all ingredients to a blender and puree until smooth. Divide among four glasses and top with a splash of rye.
Bourbojito
Yields 4
6 ounces Rebel Yell Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
12 mint sprigs, 8 torn and 4 saved for garnish
6 tablespoons frozen lime juice concentrate
Chilled sparkling mineral water
4 lime slices
Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add whiskey, torn mint, and lime juice concentrate; shake until blended. Strain over fresh ice into a highball glass. Top with a splash of sparkling water. Garnish with a mint sprig and a lime slice.
Ginger Watermelon Slush
Yields 4
6 ounces Rebel Yell Ginger Whiskey
16 ounces frozen cubed seedless watermelon
3 ounces frozen limeade concentrate
Chilled sparkling mineral water
Add ingredients to blender and puree until smooth. Pour over ice in whatever glass you have handy. Top with sparkling water.
